Get your friends together, dress alike, wear your scarves and hats, or even bring your favorite someone for the 3D Photo display in the student center on Tuesday, December 13th thru Thursday, December 15th at break and lunch! Cost is $1 per person per photo.
This is a senior class fundraiser for everyone. Get your “ONE” dollar bills out and take some memorable photos with your friends! We will take the picture and get it to you right after the holidays.
Congratulations to the A-Team for taking first place in IHS's Annual Dodgeball Tournament. The A-Team won a hard fought best 3 out of 5 battle against YMCMB in the finals. The championship came down to the fifth and final game. In winning the championship, the A-Team received tickets to Winter Formal. Great job by all the participating teams! Start practicing for next year's tournament.
Come enjoy the IHS Music Department's Holiday Concerts, featuring performances by the IHS instrumental and choral emsembles, including two major works with some professional special guests.

Come out and enjoy a great night of basketball. The evening begins with the coaches taking on the JV, followed by the staff battling the freshmen squad. The highlight of the night will be the 2011-12 varsity basketball team taking on the Vaqueros of the past.

Irvine High Cheer will be holding their annual Jr. Vaquero Cheer Camp on Friday, October 28 (vs. Northwood HS) and if you know of any interested Jr. Cheerleaders then see this LINK for info!

On October 27, Irvine High School will be hosting the annual "Walk to School Celebration" beginning at 7:10AM at Heritage Park, next to the Aquatics Center.
Please consider joining us as we will be attempting to break the World Record for the number of participants.
There will be snacks and raffles and IHS entertainment and spirit provided by our very own IHS Marching Band and Cheerleaders.
Wear pink to support breast cancer awareness this Friday, October 28th.
The Pink Ribbon Club will be dyeing shirts on Monday. Look for the posters around campus.
The Drama club and Student Forum will be hosting a Haunted Festival from 6:00pm to 10:00pm in the Amphitheater and Performing Arts Building, this Saturday, October 29th.
There will be a haunted “V-house,” face painting, photos, music, and other activities, as well as food and drink!
It is intended for high school audiences who want a good scare, so leave your younger brothers and sisters at home!

This fall and the beginning of the winter have been filled with many activities that are highlighted in this newsletter. The energy and excitement that our students produce throughout the school day and then continue through the many evenings of activities have made the weeks go by joyously and quickly. Within no time, the end of our school year will be upon us. Students continue to amaze us with their many talents and their commitment to the Irvine High School values of Integrity, Honoring Self and Others, and Social Responsibility. We are looking forward to the remainder of the school year being filled with similar energy and enthusiasm.

On Saturday, May 14th, Irvine High School will be having our prom at the Crevier Classic Car Museum in Costa Mesa. Ticket sales are May 9th-May 12th. Detentions and books owed must be cleared by Tuesday, May 3rd.

The 2011 senior trip is heading to Universal Studios on Monday, May 16th. Don't miss out on one of your last chances to hang out with your senior class, while enjoying a great time at Universal Studios Hollywood. Early ticket sales are on April 11th-13th for the discounted price of $25. The regular ticket price is $50, and the regular priced tickets will be on sale beginning on April 26th and run through May, 3rd. Detentions and books owed must be cleared before you can purchase your ticket.
Summer school will be held at University High School from June 20th to July 29th. Registration materials are now available.Forms can be picked up at IHS or you can print out the forms by using the link below.Completed registration cards must be returned to the IUSD District Office (Do NOT return registration cards to IHS ) beginning on April 11th through May 6th, Monday through Thursday 3:00-5:00 pm and Fridays from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm. It's time for 8th graders and their families to start getting ready to make the exciting move from junior high to Irvine High School. On Tuesday, April 26th IHS will be holding their annual 8th Grade Family Night. All 8th graders who plan on attending Irvine High School in the fall and their parents should attend. There will be an introduction to IHS, registration information, and an opportunity to learn about the various athletics, electives and activities offerred at Irvine. We'll see you there!
